Why this works

Blocking cookies stops one identifier. It does not stop the other forty. Your font stack, your GPU string, your clock offset and your renderer quirks combine into something specific enough to pick you out of a very large crowd, and none of it is stored on your machine, so there is nothing for you to delete.

The partial identifier above uses ten signals. A full scan uses the rest, then checks the composite against the index to see how long it has been following you.
